An honest Chinese kitchen on West Taylor.
Wok-fired, hand-folded, plated for the neighbours who keep coming back. Chicago, since 2018.
Four reasons Chicago keeps coming back.
We cook with confidence in a small repertoire — the dishes our regulars order by name. Everything is made to order from the wok line on West Taylor.

"We don't take shortcuts on the wok line. The kitchen is the menu."
A small kitchen, a steady wok, the same cooks every day.
ML Kitchen opened on West Taylor in 2018 with a short menu and a long line. Six years on, the menu is still short — and the line is still around the block.
Our kitchen draws on the home cooking the family has carried from southern China to the South Loop. We cut every protein the morning of, and finish every plate to order under the hood. Nothing leaves the line until the wok hei is right.
We deliver fast, hand-fold our dumplings, and keep prices honest. If you live or work near UIC, you're our reason for opening the doors at eleven.
Said over a clean plate.
Pleasantly surprised by the delicious honey chicken and General Tso's chicken I ordered from here.
I ordered the General Tso's chicken with pork rice and the dumplings. Solid meal overall — the General Tso's sauce was definitely different but still good. I would try it again.
